Olympics Medals at Last
Call me an optimist but i will stick out my neck and say that this is the turning point in our Olympic history. Multiple medals for the first time.
Kudos to Bindra, Sushil and Vijeyndra for making us proud. This is truly a blood sweat and tear story for these three. The best part is that i have been a fortunate to view 2 of these events live. I would take this opportunity to mention a couple of others who did not make it. Akhil Kumar can hold his head head high, he punched out the World Champion. Neha in badminton could have done better, but I hope she will do us proud in London.
Cheers

I agree ... now our people from places small and big have seen that there is money and glory in being a top sportsperson ...we can see more people taking up sports ...
I think two things are a must before we become a world sporting power
1.A viable livelyhood option for those sportspeople who do not make it to OLympic/worldcup glory. Which means clubs, local events with prize money etc etc
2. Serious focus in schools to teach basics, skills and techniques of various games and sports - I have heard that in autstralia every student has to show some profeciency in atleast 3 sports - we can try and teach one sport each year as a starter (and make serious sports an option for the 3rd language, 3rd langauge anyways is mostly useless)
Dude kholu, Its either Sania or Nehwal, Neha is neither here nor there:)
